OK, this car was bought for myself on my birthday. Wasn't that nice of me??? The car is a 1985 Mustang SVO. The body has just over 100,000 miles on it, with the Konis, side spats and window louvres still there. The bi-wing is gone though, it cracked and went to shit. There are a few things on the car that i need to fix though: it needs paint and it needs newer tires. The individual i bought it from put a 225/60 up front!!! look at the difference in the tire size. my baby is sitting until I can take her to get some new shoes. I bent the fender turning and hopefully i can bend it out and save it. the passenger door hits it. Oh yeah, the windshield got cracked.
Interior: The leather is shit up front though, what a pity. I planned to tear out the seats and get myself some racing buckets anyways. Also, the dash pad is cracked and the console is jewed. theres all these little nickle/dime things going on and it drives me up the wall. Oh and the carpeting has faded so damn bad that its a greenish/bluish/lime color! damnit! This is going to be a daily driver by christmas. I swear.

Luckily for me, the SVO was hooked up with a fresh drivetrain. Literally. This was the major selling point for me, because the interior was shit, the exterior was halfway to shit and I needed a reason to buy it. It has the following list of goodies:
This is what I had to start with. My SVO had a good baseline. But all good things must end, at least momentarily...
On the way back from buying the car, you could smell exhaustish fumes from the E-brake handle. It appears that the gasket there is non-existent. Great. also it ran really rich for some reason. You could smell gas and it would backfire. I wondered why the engine would do that. Then i realized that the ECT sensor is probably shot. OK, I'll change when i get home and do the timing. But it gets better.
2 days later, I drive it come home and say, "why am I smelling raw gas?" So i pop the hood while its idling (or trying to) and there it is: a puddle of RAW GAS in the 2-3 gap for the intake runners! I pull the throttle linkage and rev it and watch gas just kinda mist out and dribble. Hey, at least it didn't explode right? So I know I'm gonna have to pull the injectors and change the O-rings. This decision paved the way for the mess I am in right now.
